Mission Statement

SMT is a 501(c)(3) Educational Non-Profit. This nonprofit will be formed to provide free tutoring to kids in Elementary, Middle, and High School. Tutors for these students will be merited high school students capable in the field they are teaching. No part of the net earnings of this organization shall inure to the benefit of, or be distributable to, its members, trustees, officers, or other private persons, except that the organization shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the purposes set forth in the purpose clause hereof.

Description

All tutoring sessions are held virtually using Zoom and are one on on and take place every Sunday 2-3 PM. Our tutors are all students who are from Wheeler High school, and are required to maintain a grade point average of at least 3.8. Moreover, they were picked as tutors because they have mastered the topics necessary, and have shown superb excellence in their classes.

Our History

We as a program started in September 2020, as many kids had trouble adjusting to the new virtual learning in schools. We started this program not to make a profit, but to help our community reach new heights! As a result, if you have friends/family who are also in need of tutoring, feel free to pass this website along.
