My name is Karthik Valiveti and I am the founder of SMT. I am an 12th grade magnet student at Wheeler High School. I have gotten principals honors awards in Algebra 2, precalculus, and a novelary distinction award as a nationally merited student teacher. Besides that, I love to participate in clubs and am an officer in Wheeler NGN, Helping Hands, HOSA, and Wheeler Math Team. My favorite hobbies include reading, playing my clarinet, and teaching kids math and Spanish. As a magnet student, my course load is very difficult with almost 7 AP classes my junior year. These classes have made me distinguished in my ability to teach students and lead them to success.

My name is Katie and I am a junior in the Magnet Program at Wheeler High School. I have received school and class awards in Honors Geometry, AP Computer Science Principles, Magnet Chemistry, Honors Spanish II, Honors Algebra II, Honors Spanish III/IV, Accelerated PreCalculus, AP Physics, and Honors World History. I am involved in the clubs which include Magnet Ambassadors, Magnet Advisory Board (Executive), Helping Hands (Officer), Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, Math Team, National Spanish Honor Society (Communications Manager), National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am also an Ambassador in Girl Scouts with my Silver Award, enjoy playing the cello, and enjoy being a competitive gymnast. I am excited to help students succeed in their classes and pursue their interests!

Hello! My name is Pooja Kanyadan, and I am a junior in the Magnet Program at Wheeler High School. I joined SMT at the beginning of this school year to continue my passion for tutoring kids and helping them with the subjects that they struggle in. I have been volunteering since 6th grade and tutoring since 8th grade, and giving back to my community is a passion of mine. In Wheeler, I am a member of many clubs, including Helping Hands, Student Government, Science Olympiad, and 4F Charity. I also run on the varsity cross country team. Some of my hobbies include drawing, gardening, and playing the violin. i am very excited to help the young kids that are part of SMT succeed academically and achieve their goals!

My name is Naya Patel. I am a Junior at Wheeler High School Magnet Program. I am a member of Helping Hands, HOSA, math team, and ICA. I play the piano (for 6 years) and the oboe (for 4 years). Every week, I volunteer at Books for Africa, an organization that sends all types of books to areas/countries in Africa that need them. I have also completed the Kumon math program and work there now helping/encouraging kids to learn. I love working with kids and enjoy being able to help them understand their work. With each student, I’ll find the way that works best for them to further develop their knowledge.

Hi! I'm Sabrina Xing and I am currently a sophomore at Wheeler Magnet. I am very involved in Wheeler and I am in clubs like Math Team, Chick Fil A Leader Academy, Magner Ambassadors, and the Magnet Advisory Board. Outside of school, I swim year round, and I also swim on Wheeler's swim team. In middle school, I won numerous awards in Mathcounts, placing 1st in the county for two consecutive years. I have also scored high on the AMC 8. Furthermore, I have earned the Principal's Honor Roll throughout middle school and my first semester of high school. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone, and making an impact by tutoring!

My name is Swarat, a senior in the Wheeler Magnet Program. I am a GHP semifinalist in mathematics as well as lettered in Tennis and community service. In addition, I am the Wheeler Math Team captain and club president of the Wheeler Ambassadors team. I enjoy tutoring students in math and science in a variety of school clubs including Math Honors Society, Magnet Learning Links, American Assimilation Helpline Tutoring, and last but not least Smart Minds Tutoring. Other than my love for music I am an avid member in North Cobb girls tennis, its given me a lot of friends and ability to manage my time. Hello all, My name is Holden. Science, mathematics, engineering, and music are all keen interests of mine. I'm a member of Mu Alpha Theta's math honor society and Lassiter's STEM Academy. Any STEM-related activity is intriguing to me. Aside from academics, I also play the violin in the Lassiter Chamber One ensemble and I'm currently working on earning my Eagle Scout. I'm thrilled to be a tutor because I would be delighted to share my knowledge with others and make a positive impact on my students and help them be successful.

Apart from completing an AP/Honors level coursework, I’m also part of the Science Olympiad leadership team as well as President of STEAM Outreach on behalf of the Magnet Advisory Board. My name is Jaskaran and I am a 9th grader at the Wheeler Magnet Program. I started volunteering for the SMT program this year and enjoyed tutoring little kids so I continued tutoring every Sunday. Currently, I am the Vice President of Chess Club, I am in Helping Hands, Cricket Club, Circuit Runners, and Math Team. To add on, I also love playing the violin and am currently taking Orchestra this year. Alongside tutoring for SMT, I also volunteer in other places such as Books for Africa and helping set up for the Circuit Runners competitions. I am excited to tutor and help the students at the SMT program.

At Wheeler, I am involved in clubs such as Helping Hands, Magnet Ambassadors, and multiple honor societies and regularly participate in many volunteering events, helping out both my school and my community. I am also a recipient of the University of Georgia Certificate of Merit, indicating my high achievement in academics. Some of my favorite hobbies include playing the piano, doing art, and reading. Hello to all, I am Edward, and I am a tutor for SMT and a freshman in the Magnet program at Wheeler High School. I am able to speak 3 languages decently fluently, and they are English, French, and German. I am involved in Model UN, Table Tennis, and of course, Helping Hands, and I plan to do more in the very near future. I enjoy being outside in nature whenever possible, but I am still happy being indoors watching movies, crocheting, listening to music, but when I am indoors, a very large amount of it is usually used sleeping. In my free time, I tend to catch up on as much as I can about what is going on in the world, whether it’s the good, the bad, the ugly, or the interesting. I have gotten A Honor Roll awards all throughout middle school, the Spirit award in French, Science, and Mathematics, along with the Highest Average award in Social Science, Outstanding Delegate as Germany (WHO council) at the 2021 GSMST Model UN Conference, 2nd place with Math Olympiad in 6th Grade, Principal’s List for a 4.0 GPA, and IB Learner awards for the traits of being a Thinker, being Knowledgeable, and for being an Inquirer. In addition, I got a class award for Honors Geometry this year. I look forward to learning more this year and meeting everyone!

I am very happy to help struggling students and have taken the following classes: Magnet Chemistry, Accelerated Precalculus, Accelerated Algebra II/ Geometry and Honors Spanish II.
